How to Make Your Kindle Fire Tablet Look and Feel Like an Android

Here is a tutorial on how to make your Kindle Fire look and feel like an Android phone or tablet.
  1. First, download the 2 APKs listed here: APK 1 and APK 2. You can download them straight to your Fire or transfer via computer. Then, on your Fire, go to Settings and then to Security, and toggle "Apps From Unknown Sources" to on.
  2. Next, open the docs app on your Fire and install the APKs.
  3. Then, go to Settings, then scroll to Accessibility, and turn on "detect home button press."
  4. Finally, click the home button and your Android home screen will show up! You might notice a flash to the default Fire home screen but don't worry this can be fixed! Press the home button repeatedly until the default home screen only flashes for a second or two. This cannot be fixed completely, because the APKs have to work around the default Fire settings, but it will get smoother as you do this
Notice: This was tested on the Fire 7 (2017 - 7th Generation) and should work on the Fire HD 8 (2016 - 6th Generation), the Fire HD 10 and any previous version. I am not responsible for bricked devices or problems that may occur. Do this at your own risk. The original posts are linked here and here from the site https://www.xda-developers.com/. I take no credit for the apps (APKs) or any of the content linked here.
